40th Anniversary of QWAN KI DO

After two attempts to organize this 7th QWAN KI DO World Championship in 2020, due to the incessant surge of the "Covid 19" in the world, the International QWAN KI DO Federation in agreement with the Founder Office of the IQKDF have decided to hold this 7th Online World Championship. In light of the advancement of audio-visual technology, this opportunity has generously opened the door for us to continue to maintain our global sports competition.

A beautiful moment of sharing awaits us so that we can all get together and exchange together, our high-performing techniques and sharpen our own experiences. A global event that will bring together more than thirty countries, officially affiliated with the International QWAN KI DO Federation, with the presence of Founder-Office and Founding Master of Method, Thày Chưởng Môn PHAM Xuân Tong.

This "Online" world competition is a solitary event, facing a camera. The practitioner must find the strength and the martial spirit in him, in order to give the best of himself, after several years of training and sacrifice to reach an international level. Only diligent and honest practitioners with themselves can know the joys and sorrows of participating in such a competition.

We are in 2021, "1981/2021", forty years already, what an incredible speed of time! What a historic anniversary that testifies to the creation and development of QWAN KI DO in the world. 40 years of life, emotions, training, research, beautiful encounters, trials, joys, endurance, failures, successes, which have allowed us today to be where we are in sum… and the road is still long…

Beyond technical riches, competitions that gradually transcend continental borders for coming to the global level, I have always wanted to highlight the transmission of moral and cultural values that I have been fortunate to be initiated into. This transmission of these values is a major asset, necessary for the formation of a true practitioner, devoid of any hypocrisy, of any discreet and immoral manipulation, ready to rise in the path of martial art through the apprehension of common moral rules throughout martial arts: Loyalty, respect, gratitude.

This is a great challenge in teaching, because morality and art are not taught like mathematics, it is not by attending a course that one learns to distinguish between good and evil or beauty and ugliness . Understanding and feeling are two profoundly different things, believing that we need more time to permeate these notions of values more than technique, but that is the true path of martial art.

The main thing is to discover this path of wisdom, to know how to discern what is the true face of a latent energy which leads to success. The secret of this shape opens the eyes and the open eyes show the way forward. Because the empire of will and moral value would annihilate all that is mean in him and then happiness would radiate in all its splendor.

This success of this 7th World Championship is up to all of us to design it to honor our determination to preserve and protect our martial art. Our method never claimed to be the best, we can say rather than it is the continuity of the works of our great Masters to build the true man and not only the strong man.
